Our comprehensive and relevant services at H.Y.P.E. involve community services, HIV education, academic education, counseling, medical support, social and professional support, and self and social empowerment. Our programs will result in increased awareness of HIV-related issues and decreased stigma surrounding HIV within general and subpopulations, and decreased unemployment rate among participants.

Advocacy Services


The Digital Advocacy Experience Program (DAE) is an 8-week training program that explores the stigma of an HIV/AIDS diagnosis and the impact that it can have on an individual’s life and their family relationships. During the program, participants will use professional videos, face-to-face interactions, live social media events, and a variety of posts to expose, engage, influence, and educate their digital communities. Participants in this program will receive cash and gas incentives for their attendance paid through Cash App.

Education Programs


The Tenant Organizing and Policy Advocacy Training Program teaches young people living with HIV how to engage in advocacy related to health and housing. This training program provides participants with the skills to become tenant organizers in their communities. The program requires a minimum commitment of six months. Participants will attend multiple classroom sessions and participate in field visits that support twelve knowledge and skill-building modules.

Health and Linkage Services


H.Y.P.E. provides health services that teach people about the basics of HIV and their new lifestyle, the pros and cons of disclosure, highs and lows of sexual practices, relationships, as well as overall health and nutrition.

Our mental health counseling program consists of:

  • Peer Counseling
  • Family Counseling
  • Group Counseling

New members will be connected to medical providers, get access to HIV treatment, be linked to social service organizations, and receive assistance with long-term medical case management services.
